The average out-of-pocket health care cost for Californians is an untenable $7,545 a year. And that includes people who are covered by insurance.
That's why the California State Assembly must pass AB 1400 and ACA 11, bills that create -- and pay for -- a CalCare system that would end premiums, copays, and out-of-pocket expenses for all. As the Los Angeles Times put it, it would “be a life-changer for practically every Californian.”
