This moment is critical: In less than two weeks, mass shooters have attacked shoppers in Buffalo, churchgoers in Laguna Beach, and now elementary school students.
The House of Representatives passed two bills expanding background checks in 2021, but the Senate has failed to garner the 60 votes needed to do the same. We cannot let this stand any longer. And the Supreme Court is expected to rule soon in an NRA-backed New York conceal carry case that some experts predict will lead to further repeals of gun safety laws.
