Tell Walgreens: If you abandon America, we’ll abandon you!
Walgreens -- “the pharmacy America trusts” -- wants to sell out American taxpayers and YOU can help stop it.
In a shameful move of corporate greed, Walgreen’s shareholders are on the verge of exploiting a tax loophole and moving their corporate address to Switzerland in an attempt to dodge paying their fair-share of taxes in the States.
If Walgreens renounces its American corporate citizenship, it would cost American taxpayers up to $4 BILLION over five years. All the while, Walgreens would continue to receive nearly a quarter of its $72 billion annual income from TAXPAYER-FUNDED programs like Medicare and Medicaid, and take full advantage of our public infrastructure, roads, and bridges. On top of all that, it would put an incredible disadvantage on other small local pharmacies, who will likely be put out of business.
Walgreens must hear from Americans like me and YOU right now so they know that we won’t stand for it.
