RSVP for the Vigil In Sacramento
We have until Sunday to convince Governor Brown to sign the LIFE (Lifesaving Intelligent Firearms Enforcement) Act. Despite serving as mayor of Oakland, a city plagued by gun violence, Gov. Brown has a record of vetoing gun safety bills, and he was notably silent after the Newtown tragedy. At a vigil at the Capitol this Thursday, we will read the names of the 1,136 California victims of gun violence since Newtown to remind the Governor how much California needs these bills.
Fill out the form on the right to let us know you can join us on Thursday evening at 6:30PM on the West Steps of the State Capitol in Sacramento for our candlelight vigil.
*Please note in the comments if you would be able to assist in reading the names of the victims at the vigil, if you plan to bring any pictures, notes, or other remembrances of victims of gun violence, or if you will bring posters/signs supporting gun reform legislation.
