    Gun violence in America is out of control. We cannot sit back while Congress refuses to act.

    There is a 2016 ballot initiative in California that can set the gold standard for meaningful reforms to stop gun violence, creating a model that could be applied everywhere. It's called the Safety for All Act -- a historic ballot initiative that would require things like background checks on ammunition purchases and a ban on the possession of large capacity magazines (the type of magazines that contain 20, 30, 40 bullets allowing the shooter to inflict maximum damage without having reload).

    We have the power to make history and defeat the NRA, but we need a groundswell of grassroots support. We need you.
