Thank the 49ers Coach and CEO for standing up against homophobia

After San Francisco 49ers player Chris Culliver said he would not welcome an openly gay teammate and subsequently apologized, 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh and CEO Jed York both spoke with Chris privately, spoke out publicly against his comments, and encouraged him to get to know the LGBT community and the struggles it faces.

Mr. York has since said: "I saw him this morning and told him, 'It's up to you to live up to your apology.' He made a bold statement of wanting to get to know the LGBT community. You see a football player that had an uninformed opinion and now he can grow in his sort of experience and be a beacon for everybody in the locker room for the 49ers and hopefully throughout the NFL, to show it's more than what your uninformed, juvenile opinion is of something. And that's what I want to push Chris to do."

Please take a moment to sign our thank you letter to Jed York and Jim Harbaugh for pushing for real LGBT equality in the world of sports. See the full letter here.
