Tell the FCC: "Don't allow Rupert Murdoch to monopolize Los Angeles"

First it was Tea Party funders David and Charles Koch. Now their radical right-wing buddy, Fox News CEO Rupert Murdoch, has joined the race for the Los Angeles Times. Mr. Murdoch currently owns several television stations in Los Angeles and has requested an exception from the FCC regulations that bar him from owning the Los Angeles Times.

Rupert Murdoch is not above the law. Federal law prohibits a single company from owning both a local newspaper and a local television station in one community. The idea that Rupert Murdoch, of all people, would be given an exception to federal regulations is astounding.

Murdoch is the same man who brought you "journalists" such as Bill O'Reily, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. Now he is looking to purchase one of the most respected newspapers in the country simply to push his right-wing agenda.

Demand the FCC to uphold the law. Sign here to tell the FCC: "Don't allow Rupert Murdoch to monopolize Los Angeles, enforce media cross-ownership laws."
