Tell Senate Democrats: Shut down the senate until a special prosecutor is appointed!

If the President is allowed to squash an investigation into potential crimes committed by his campaign -- and possibly the President himself -- then he’s putting himself above the law. That’s something that happens in dictatorships, not democracies.
This isn’t normal, and we shouldn’t act like it is. But every day that goes by where government business proceeds as usual risks normalizing the erosion of our constitutional system.
It’s time for Democrats to demand that a special prosecutor take over the investigation into the Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia -- and shut down Senate business until it happens. If Democrats play hardball, it will pressure Republican senators -- including the many who have expressed reservations about Trump's actions -- to join the call for the appointment of a special prosecutor.
