Stop the Big Ag Gag Law
Big Agriculture wants to silence whistleblowers.
Mere months after pouring millions into stopping a common sense GMO labeling initiative, Big Ag is doubling down on restricting transparency here in California.
A bill winding its way through the State Assembly would put whistleblowers in jail for recording animal abuse at corporate owned animal and meat processing facilities. It's backed by ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, notorious for promoting abhorrent legislation across the country.
Transparency is fundamental to solving problems in our democracy. These abuses not only should not happen, and they absolutely cannot be covered up.
Tell your Representative: "Oppose Assembly Bill 343. Whistleblowers protecting animals and our food supply cannot and should never be gagged."
