Stand with Elizabeth Warren and fight predatory payday lenders

The payday loan industry is one of the BIGGEST scammers out there. Their entire business model is designed to trap financially vulnerable Americans in a vicious cycle of debt. The average payday loan borrower takes out eight loans a year and pays nearly 400% in interest and fees.

So why is Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the head of the Democratic National Committee, co-sponsoring legislation (H.R. 4018) to weaken the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was established by Senator Elizabeth Warren to protect the most financially vulnerable Americans?

Think it’s tied to the $68,000 in campaign contributions Rep. Wasserman Schultz received from the payday loan industry?

SIGN THE PETITION to tell Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz:

"I urge you to stand with Senator Elizabeth Warren and the American people and fight against predatory payday lenders. Please end or remove your support of H.R. 4018 to weaken Sen. Warren's landmark Consumer Financial Protection Bureau."
