    Tell the EPA and President Obama: Shut down the Porter Ranch gas leak NOW!

    The massive LA gas leak is a ticking time bomb that is spiraling out of control at all levels. It continues to poison local residents with cancer-causing chemicals and is releasing enormous amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. It’s been declared the worst environmental disaster since the BP oil spill, and local authorities are still scrambling to figure out what to do.

    It’s time for our national authorities to step in before it’s too late.

    "Every passing day, 1,200 tons of methane gas -- a greenhouse gas that is seventy times more potent than carbon dioxide -- spews out of a well near Los Angeles' Porter Ranch neighborhood. This is a disaster with national impact, and it is time for the federal leadership to step in and do everything possible to stop the leak."
