    Email Your California Assemblymember to Support the LIFE Act

    California is now 33% percent of the way toward the safest, smartest gun laws in the country. The Lifesaving Intelligent Firearms Enforcement (LIFE) Act has passed the Senate and now faces a vote in the Assembly. It includes seven bills that will install a loophole-free assault weapons ban, require background checks for ammunition purchases, and expand the list of crimes and mental conditions that make it illegal to own a gun.

    This vote will be very close. Several Democrats voted against the package in the Senate.
