Tell Disney and Google to join the fight to Make It Fair!
Google and Disney -- two world-renowned companies that exemplify California’s strengths -- have the opportunity to fight for fair property taxes and help rebuild our state’s schools and communities. And we need your help to make sure they do the right thing.
Since Proposition 13 passed in 1978, it created critical protections for homeowners, but it ALSO created catastrophic loopholes for giant corporations and wealthy commercial property owners, allowing them to avoid paying their fair share of property taxes. And our schools and public services have suffered ever since.
That’s why we have joined the coalition to Make It Fair --- to close these loopholes and provide our communities with the vital resources we need to rebuild. To succeed, we need well known corporations built in California, such as Google and Disney, to lead by example and join the fight.

“You are world-renowned, California brands. Companies incubated in California that exemplify our state's strengths. For decades, you have benefited from a deeply unfair commercial property tax system that starves our state of desperately needed revenue for schools and local public services. We need your leadership to restore California to a land of opportunity. We ask that you:
1. Publicly acknowledge that California’s commercial property tax laws are an unfair mess that must be fixed.
2. Endorse the Make It Fair campaign to finally fix the problem.”
