Tell President Obama: Take immediate action to prevent gun violence

The NRA has a chokehold on Congress. But President Obama can act right now to prevent the next mass shooting by using his executive authority to expand background checks on gun sales and help stop dangerous people from getting their hands on firearms.

We know the President is currently considering standing up to the NRA and bypassing Congress to enact new common-sense gun reforms, but we must stand together and make sure he knows that we want action NOW!

SIGN THE PETITION and tell President Barack Obama:

"88 Americans are killed by gun violence every day in this country, with hundreds more injured. We know you are open to addressing this issue without Congress, and we therefore encourage you to take immediate executive action to strengthen our gun laws and expand background checks without Congressional approval."
