TELL CALIFORNIA LEGISLATORS: Support the California Values Act to Protect Immigrant Communities
Donald Trump’s Presidency poses a direct threat to immigrants, Muslims, people of color, LGBTQ+ people, women and many others. And he's not wasting any time to take executive action that attacks undocumented people, refugees, the muslim community, and more. California legislators must do all they can to aggressively disrupt Trump’s plans and stand with our must vulnerable communities.
Following the election, California's Senate President Pro Tempore Kevin de León introduced the California Values Act (SB 54), a bill that's critical to protecting immigrant communities in California.
Now more than ever is it imperative that our state legislators stand up for immigrant communities under attack and set an example for the country.
SIGN THE PETITION and ask your state Assemblymember and Governor Jerry Brown to support the California Values Act now:
“Senate Bill 54 -- the California Values Act (de León) -- is a huge step in keeping undocumented families together and standing up for those who are being targeted by the Trump administration. As your constituent, I ask that you resist and obstruct Trump’s racist, anti-immigrant agenda and vote YES on the California Values Act.”
