Ask your state senator to protect renters

Currently, over half of California's renters have to pay over 1/3 of their income on rent, which is unsustainable for the health and well-being of families, our business climate and the economy, and for our environment. We can't afford to wait longer for change.

AB 1482 (Chiu) -- an anti-rent gouging bill -- needs to be enacted this year if we hope to reduce the hardship, displacement and homelessness harming Californians. This bill will help establish stability and affordability for California's renters by returning more tools to local jurisdictions to stabilize rents.

AB 1482 passed the assembly floor thanks to pressure from activists like you, but it's still going to face major opposition in the senate. Can you call your senator and ask that they vote YES on AB 1482?
